The Routemaster Owners Club, ROC, was formed in June 2007 by a group of Routemaster owners and ex-committee members from another organisation. We were all of the opinion that we wished to move in a slightly different direction and wished to return the fun back into what after all said and done is a hobby to most and therefore should be enjoyable.

Our aim is to support the continued operation and preservation of a London Icon, the Routemaster Bus. To raise the profile of these buses by attendance at Running Days, Rallies and local group meetings but most importantly try to ensure members are able to enjoy their buses.

Membership is open to any Routemaster owner or serious enthusiast who is based in the United Kingdom, whether or not the vehicle(s) owned are operated commercially or enjoyed as a hobby or interest.
Our membership year runs from 1st October to 30th September each year, should you wish to join us please click on the "Joining ROC" icon to the left of this text.

We publish a full colour magazine each quarter which is posted free to all paid up members containing a wealth of articles and features, details of forthcoming events as well as reports and photographs of recent rallies and running days. We also intend to carry a technical article each quarter as well as a children's section as we are keen to encourage all the family to participate. A restoration profile will also be carried in each issue again including photographs.

We fully intend all financial matters and management group decisions to be open and accessible to members at any time. These will be published in our magazine quarterly and also held with the "ROC Status" area of this site but this area will be password protected.

As well as supporting many events up and down the country we will hold our own events each year. In 2007 we have run and organised rallies and running days in Leighton Buzzard, Crewe and York. Each year we also intend to hold a Route 159 re-run followed by an early evening Christmas Lights Tour. Full details of all our events can be found by clicking on the icon concerned.
This website can only be judged as a success if it visited, we can only improve it if given feedback and therefore we welcome comments and suggestions which can be e-mailed to any member of the management group. Full contact details including management group e-mail addresses can be found by clicking on the "Contact your Management Team" icon.
